TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE: LILY & LOREN
The couples in the Addicted series were asked by their publicist to participate in a quick game of Two Truths and a Lie. The rules are simple: each person comes up with three facts, two truths and one lie. The other person then has to guess which of the facts is the lie. Last up, Lily & Loren!
Lily: You know, we cast off lying. Maybe this isn’t such a good game for us.
Lo: We’ll make it quick, love.
Lily: *scrunches face* I don’t think I’m a fan of quickies either.
Lo: *smiles* Then we’ll make it kind of long.
Lily: *nods* sounds good. *thinks harder* What if I get your lie wrong, Lo? Isn’t that going to seem bad? I mean, I’ve known you for so long. People are going to think I’m an inattentive girlfriend and a terrible friend who doesn’t listen.
Lo: *scoots closer to Lil on the couch and wraps his arm around her waist* I thought we don’t care what other people think anymore.
Lily: Oh. Yeah. I forgot about that.
Lo: And, if you get my lie wrong it’s only because I tried to trick you. Not because you’re a bad listener. How’s that?
Lily: I like it *nods definitively* You go first. Rip it off like a Band-Aid. *takes a deep breath in preparation*
Lo: *tries not to laugh as he says his facts*
- My only A in prep school was in Art.
- I didn’t get my driver’s license until I turned eighteen.
- I’ve seen Avengers fifteen times.
Lily: *eyes wide* I’m already stuck.
Lo: *frowns in concern* Talk it out. Maybe it will help.
Lily: Okay. So I know you got your license when you were eighteen. That’s true. And I know you had an A in art, since the teacher was sucking up to your dad. But I also thought you got an A in gym. And then the Avengers…we’ve seen it exactly ten times together. But you could have also seen the extra five without me. I don’t know what you watch on your own time. Number one or number three? Should I flip a coin?
Lo: Just guess. It’s okay if you get it wrong.
Lily: *shuts her eyes* Number three. That’s your lie. *opens one eye*
Lo: *grins* correct. I’ve seen the movie ten times. All with you, love. *he holds her closer* And the gym teacher gave me a C. I refused to play dodgeball.
Lily: *smiles into his chest* Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Lo: Your turn.
Lily: *sits up and says her facts*
- My favorite Halloween candy is a Blow Pop
- My least favorite place is the Mall of America
- I’ve never had a flu shot
Lo: Way to pick the most random facts, Lil. *smiles* Number two is wrong. Your least favorite place is The North Pole.
Lily: *frowns* I told you that? When?
Lo: Are you kidding me? How could I not know that you hate the place that pretends to be Santa Claus’ workshop but in reality it’s just a big pile of ice and snow?
Lily: *stares at his lips like she wants to kiss him*
Lo: *kisses her first*
