Mallory Sims is late for her first day of work.
After spilling her tea, she discovers she has no gas in her car. Add that her arm keeps sticking to her dress from syrup left on the console of her car, flustered feels like an understatement.
Then she sees her new boss.
Graham Landry is the epitome of NSFW in his custom-fit suit, black-rimmed glasses, and a look so stern her libido doesn’t stand a chance. Being flustered is just the start of her problems.
Her punctuality is only the start of his. With a pink slip in hand, he’s been waiting on his new secretary to show up only to let her go. Then she rushes in with her doe eyes and rambling excuses, smelling like bacon and lavender. The termination paper falls to the side as she falls in his arms.
This is a disaster in the making. Not because of his pinpoint exactness or her free spirit, but because when they’re together, the sparks that fly threaten to burn the whole place down.
We both know we aren’t just talking about a moved stapler or a mishmash of files. As that really sets in, the air around us gets heavier. Hotter. Hazardous.“Those things always lead to dangerous situations,” he says, his eyes trained on me.
I shift in my seat, the throb between my legs growing stronger by the second. “People do it every day and survive.”
“They may survive, but don’t things get messy?”
“Only if they do it right.”
His chair flies backwards and he’s to his feet and next to me before I know what’s happening. He doesn’t ask that I stand, but he doesn’t have to. It’s implied and my body reacts accordingly to his silent command.
We stand face-to-face, our breathing ragged. Our chests heave with the anticipation, the possibility, of what might come next.
“You are, quite possibly, the most dangerous of them all,” he says, his voice rough.
“Why is that?” I breathe.
“There’s no plan for you.”
“But you’ve already penciled me in, haven’t you, Graham?” I ask, finding the courage to play this little game with him. Being strictly professional is incredibly hard, and this is way too easy.
I can flirt with the best of them in a bar or on a college campus. But here, with him, it’s a game all its own. A level I had no idea I’d ever be a contender in. Maybe I’m not, but I’m going to play the hell out of it while I’m here … even though if I keep it up, I might not be here for long.
“What do you want, Mallory?”
“I want to do all the things you ask of me and do them better than you ever expected they could be done.”
A rumble emits from his throat as his eyes darken. My knees go weak and I grab the table with my left hand to ensure I don’t fall.
He licks his lips and flips his gaze to my mouth. I think I whimper as I lift my chin, waiting to see what he does next. My entire body is on fire for this man, my heart thumping so hard I’m sure he can hear it.
He moves so my back is pressed against the table, our food long forgotten. His hands are on either side of me, caging me in. Our eyes locked together, he leans in, a slow smirk spreading across his gorgeous face.
“Excuse me, Mr. Landry. Ford is here to see you,” Raza chirps through the line.
We exhale simultaneously, a giggle escaping with mine. There’s nothing funny about this, but the energy has to come out in some way.
“Mr. Landry?” she asks again.
“I’ll be right out. Thank you, Raza.”
“Oh, you’re so welcome, sir.” The line clicks off and Graham marches across the room and punches a button. The light on top indicates he’s not to be disturbed.
I busy myself with cleaning up our lunch, and before he’s at my side again, I have everything bundled up.
“Thanks for lunch,” I say like nothing just happened.
“Mallory …” He runs his hand through his hair, leaving one lock sticking up. Knowing what that will look like if we walk out together, I reach up, hesitating for a split second, before smoothing it out.
His hair is silky against my fingers. He jumps when I touch him at first, but doesn’t back away. “What are you doing?”
“Nothing went on in here. I refuse for it to look like something did. That’s the way rumors get spread, Mr. Landry.”
“Mallory, I …”
I get a final look at his face, reach up and straighten his tie as his eyes go wide, then turn towards the door. “I’ll send Ford in.”
“Yeah?” I turn to see him over my shoulder. He’s standing by the table, his hands in his pockets looking frazzled. When he doesn’t respond, I place my hand on the knob. “I’ll have that file back to you before I leave today. Thanks again for lunch.”
I walk out before I can change my mind.
Anyway… I think I am supposed to be talking about Switch! Switch is the 3rd book in this interconnected series and just like the first two, I couldn’t get enough. I love how Graham and Mallory push each other. From the moment they meet you can feel the attraction between them. They are both shocked by it. It is HOT, instant, sparing and undeniable. But as they get to know each you can see their attraction goes beyond the physical. They are SO good for each other. They push each other’s buttons in EVERY sense of the word. And ultimately they help each other grow to be the best version of themselves. And there is NOTHING I like more in a book than to see character growth throughout a book. (Well, I mean the steamy office romance was great too 😉 )
I definitely recommend Switch. If you are looking for a fun read full of sexy, steamy, romantic goodness that you can just lose yourself in — then look no further!

“Stay is a power, heart-wrenching story that will consume you heart and soul, leaving you utterly breathless days after the last page is read.” – Kelly Elliott New York Times bestselling author
From NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson comes the next sexy, gripping Bleeding Stars Stand-Alone Novel…
I’m Ash Evans.
The life of the party.
Hot. Rich. Charismatic.
A tattooed rock star with the world at my feet.
I burn through women faster than the strike of a match.
I’ve embraced my lifestyle and live it to the fullest.
Until the day my lifestyle caught up to me.
Willow Langston found me at my lowest.
Facedown in a puddle of my own blood.
I owe her my life and I have three months to repay that debt.
What I never should have done was touch her. Kiss her. Take her to my bed.
Love wasn’t supposed to be a part of the equation.
I gave up that nasty complication a long damned time ago.
Now I want her more than my next breath.
But she doesn’t know what I know.
Do I leave to protect her? Or can I face my demons and ask her to Stay?
It is certainly no secret that the Bleeding Stars Series by A.L. Jackson is one of my most favorite series ever. Honestly, I think I said it best in my last review when I said: it is a stormy, poetic, lyrical series that buries itself into your soul and just makes you bleed emotions right along with every broken character you encounter. And that surely held true with Stay.
Let me just state from the beginning that yes Stay is absolutely part of a series. Yes! I absolutely recommend that you read the ENTIRE series. But I say that because this series has buried itself deep within me and will always be one that I recommend that people read. But let me state ith absolute certainty that you can pick this up and read it without having read any of the other books and you will be absolutely fine. You will not at all be lost. You will however probably be so in love with the words and the beauty of the story that you will backtrack and pick up the other books in the story because you can’t help but want more!
I don’t even know how to express just how much this story touched me without giving things away. You should just know that it is absolutely beautiful. From the way AL Jackson crafts the words and the story. To what takes place between the characters. You will be swept away into the story and compelled to stay there from start to finish.
Ash has always been the life of the party. He has always been the one to have an easy laugh ready for everyone — so you just knew there was so much more brewing under the surface. And I could not wait to see what AL Jackson had planned for him. And OMG what she had in store. As Ash and Willow met, when Ash was literally at his lowest, in a crumpled heap on the ground, my heart broke for him. And then as we saw pieces of their lives and their pasts slowly revealed to us — she tugged on my heart. I ached for the two of them. I broke with them. And ultimately I healed right alongside them.
I highly recommend this book. It is a must read, just like the rest of this series. You will want to just stay in this story forever.

UNDER PRESSURE Synopsis:
He can protect anything except his heart
Leese Phelps’s road hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s brought him to the perfect job—working for the elite Body Armor security agency. And what his newest assignment lacks in size, she makes up for in fire and backbone. But being drawn to Catalina Nicholson is a dangerous complication, especially since it could be the very man who hired Leese who’s threatening her.
What Catalina knows could get her killed. But who’d believe the sordid truth about her powerful stepfather? Beyond Leese’s ripped body and brooding gaze is a man of impeccable honor. He’s the last person she expects to trust—and the first who’s ever made her feel safe. And he’s the only one who can help her expose a deadly secret, if they can just stay alive long enough…
“Romantic thriller veteran Foster has been honing her skill for a long time, and it’s clear she’s at the top of her game here. Readers will find themselves, along with her colorful cast of supporting characters, rooting for a happy-ever-after.”
“Teasing and humorous dialogue, sizzling sex scenes, tender moments, and overriding tension show Foster’s skill as a balanced storyteller. She sets up a continuing story line for the series with the mystery of who murdered the firm’s founder, Sahara’s brother, but this thread never overwhelms the gripping main story, which will leave readers breathless.”
“Foster writes an action-packed story that has everything her readers have come to love about her books…. Foster continues to prove why she is a mega-talent in the romance world!”
One thing stuck in Leese’s mind. “You didn’t like the family business?” From what Leese knew, her father had grown a highly successful empire supplying enhancements to new tech gadgets. Smartphone covers, special screens, camera lenses—he offered something for everyone, and had distribution throughout the country, as well as in select markets around the world.
“No.” She wrinkled her nose. “I don’t fit the mold. Honestly, though she faked it well, my mom didn’t either. She could attend the fancy parties and appear to enjoy them. The transition was almost seamless for her. But when we were alone, she was herself. Really warm and funny, sometimes too strict and overprotective.” She fell silent, then whispered, “Webb was different when she was here. I think she was a good influence on him.”
“She passed away from cancer?”
“Yes. A terrible disease. Holt does a lot of fund-raising for cancer research. I think it’s why Bowen went into medicine.”
“Do you look like your mother?”
She flashed him a smile. “Everyone says I do. She was really petite too. Same color hair and eyes. I always thought my mom was really beautiful, and I know I’m not, so I’m complimented when people tell me that.”
Justice, who’d been so quiet Leese almost forgot he would be listening, said, “Oh, I dunno. You’re awful cute. I imagine if you dolled up, you could turn some heads.”
She laughed. “Thank you, but I don’t have many opportunities to ‘doll up’ anymore, thank goodness. That’s one of the things I disliked most about wealth. Everyone expected me to look perfect all the time. And I’m just not the type who can pull that off.”
Leese thought she looked pretty damned perfect, even in her tattered jeans, with her hair tangled and windblown and not a speck of makeup on her face. Her mouth, especially, drew his attention. She had full lips and when he’d kissed her—
“Teaching art to kids means wearing lots of smocks, not gowns. Usually the smock ends up being pretty colorful though—paint, clay, marker. I’m far better suited to a grade-school art room than an influential committee.”
All in all, Leese thought that sounded pretty nice.
Justice asked, “You like kids, huh?”
“Very much. My students are terrific, even the more troublesome kids. They’re all creative in their own unique ways.”
Leese let her and Justice talk about children and art, knowing it was a distraction for her. She didn’t yet want to tell him about her stepfather, but time would soon run out.
When the two of them wound down and Justice ran out of teasing compliments, Leese said, “You can have a short reprieve, but when we get to the agency, you’re going to need to decide.”
A whole lot of wariness flooded back into her expression. “Decide what?”
“If you’re going to make my job easier by coming clean, or if you’re going to leave me muddling about in the dark, which could also be riskier for both of us.”
She released a tense breath. “Maybe a better decision would be to leave so you guys aren’t at risk.”
Leese caught her chin, a surefire method to gain and hold her attention. “That’s one choice you don’t have. Whether you like it or not, you’ve got my protection.”
Justice added, “If you’re thinking of dodging him, think again. He’s pretty good at surveillance.”
Cat scowled at them both. “I think I’ll take a nap, after all.” She bunched up her coat and shoved it against the door like a pillow. “Wake me when we’re there.”
So she wouldn’t rest against him this time? Too bad. But he wouldn’t waste the quiet time. He had a whole lot more research to do, and this time his focus would be on her stepfather and his friends.
With or without her help, he’d get things figured out. Hopefully in enough time to keep her out of trouble.
Under Pressure by Lori Foster was a romantic suspense that kept me on my toes throughout the entire story.
The characters in this book were vibrant and colorful. Their personalities instantly attracted me and held my attention. From the spunky and sassy Catalina who was fighting to hold her own to the broody and alpha Leese who made sure that he would protect her at all costs. And how could you not love all of Leese’s friends? I am DYING to know more about them!!! Looks like there is a past series I may need to dig into!
This was a fast-paced read that will have you watching as Cat and Leese fight their attraction to each other as they fight to keep her safe from those out to hurt her. I loved watching their attraction grow as they got to know each other better. I really enjoyed this book.

About The Authors:
From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet. We’ve all had the bad boys, now it’s time for a Real Good Man.
Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.
Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right?
Wrong. It’s better.
Banner Regent is smart, funny, and she’s so far out of my league, she might as well be royalty.
I’m a mechanic from Kentucky. She’s a New York City party girl.
We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.
How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?
Show her what it’s like to be with a real good man.
Real Good Man is book one of the Real Duet. Logan and Banner’s story will conclude in Real Good Love, releasing January 17, 2017.
Finally, fifteen minutes after we said we’d meet, Logan Brantley walks into the tapas bar. Every curse word known to woman—and several I make up on the fly—flash through my brain.
This isn’t fair. Logan Brantley is even sexier when he’s not dressed in camo and carrying a big gun. More than one head swings in his direction. Women flip their hair and uncross and re-cross their legs as he steps up to the hostess stand.
A shaft of possessiveness lights up inside me, right along with nervous energy and my pounding heart. Back off, bitches. He’s not here for you.
I hear the low rumble of his deep drawl when he speaks to the hostess. She gestures in my direction, and he turns. Piercing blue eyes find me at the table where a lone water glass sits in front of me.
Liquid courage should definitely have been on the menu. Why didn’t I order a drink?
Because I’m an idiot. Because I thought I could handle this.
Now my heart is hammering so loud, my voice will probably be inaudible, or even worse—quaver when I speak.
Logan walks toward me with long, sure strides. He’s taller than I realized. And broader. And bigger. Everywhere. He’s wearing a black Henley that stretches across his chest, leaving no doubt of the fact that the man is built. And his jeans. Jesus. They’re worn and snug in all the right places.
The picture I found was clearly not recent, and it’s not just the fact that his brown hair is longer and shaggier. He’s one of those men who age well.
Logan stops in front of me when he reaches the tall bar table. He says nothing as his gaze drops to the toes of my boots and drags up every inch of my body.
“You’re a hard woman to find.”
What better way to start the new year than with a Real Good Man? And Meghan March certainly did not disappoint with this first book in Real Duet.
Logan and Banner start chatting on the phone and strike up some fun conversations as Banner seeks advice on what a “real man” would do after she has some less than extraordinary experiences in NYC. Their texts stay G-rated but you can see them building something there. And you can feel the connection between the two. And what happens when they actually meet? FIREWORKS!
Banner and Logan are just so perfect for each other — even if on the outside looking in they couldn’t be more different from each other. They compliment each other so well. I love how sassy and spunky Banner is. She has been hurt a lot by those that she loves and is out to make it on her own now. She has a few secrets she is keeping close to her chest until she can prove herself to the world. But one thing she isn’t afraid of… saying what is on her mind — and when she does, she definitely made me giggle and snort a lot with some of the outlandish things that came out of her mouth! Let’s just say, NO FILTER! And Logan — he may have been trouble when he was a boy, but it is clear that he is quite the catch now — well clear to everyone except HIM! He has a sexy dirty mouth on him that will get your blood boiling! But he also seems to know everyone in this town… and whether he realizes it or not he is part of the fabric of the town and cares about them. He notices what is going on.
I was swept away with Banner and Logan from the moment I opened up this book. But it was more than that; I was also taken with what was going on with Banner’s neighbor in NYC and the people in Logan’s town. Meghan March made me care. She made me curious. And I NEED to know more!
I can’t wait to see how Meghan March wraps up the storylines in Real Good Love!
I definitely recommend Real Good Man!

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.
