The book community is a wide and diverse community with lakes, ponds, oceans and mountains separating us. What binds us together are our authors. Their words touch us. Their stories connect us. A book signing’s success isn’t based on how many books an author sells, but on how many new friends we make. And that is what we are. A community of friends. Book signings allow us to meet up with friends, make new friends, and together create memories that will last a lifetime.
Description… Jill Sava from Love Affair With Fiction and author Yessi Smith are a couple of friends who had the idea of hosting their own signing. They both bring their own unique flair and talent, making Just Another Book Signing an event you don’t want to miss. The signing will take place from 11am – 3pm where you can meet your favorite authors and mix with other avid readers. Snacks and beverages will be provided for everyone in attendance. After the signing, we will be hosting a two hour happy hour. First drink is on us!
Proceeds from our event will go to G-PACT, an organization we feel deserves more recognition. Digestive tract paralysis is a gastric motility disorder that many are left unaware of, and we at JABS want to shed light and enlighten the public about. We have seen how living with such a disorder can impact a person’s life and believe that donating the proceeds from our event will not only benefit G-PACT, but also raise awareness. G-PACT is run entirely by volunteers and is dedicated to providing services to patients who suffer from digestive tract paralysis. Their efforts have reached over 35 countries and all 50 states. In the next few months, they, along with Genetic Alliance, will begin collecting data for gastroparesis for researchers in the field.

Title: Secret Regrets
Author: Megan C. Smith
Series: Living For Today
Publisher: Blue Tulip Publishing
Live for today…
Tomorrow isn’t a promise.
This is the motto of Bryant and Rose’s relationship, especially considering the roller coaster they’ve been through over the past few years.
The problem is, neither of them took into consideration the past they tried to keep hidden.
Until it’s too late.
Soon they both realize they are being suffocated by the secrets of their pasts they have kept from one another. When the past collides with the present, it becomes the ultimate test to their relationship with more people hoping it fails, than survives.
They must rely on each other like never before as they fight to survive the secrets they now regret keeping from one another. While tomorrow isn’t a promise, with the past waging a war, Bryant and Rose may not be able to survive–even today.
“I love you too, Bryant. Always and forever.” I placed three sweet kisses on his lips. Our tradition. Three kisses every time. One for the past, one for today, and one for the future.
Megan Smith was born and raised in beautiful Tampa, Florida where she spent her days falling in love with fictional characters from a very young age.
After marrying her best friend she relocated to North Carolina to support her husband’s career as a U.S. Marine. During her time in North Carolina Megan was blessed with 3 beautiful children who have kept her constantly busy chasing after them and enjoying the daily routine of motherhood.
Most recently Megan and her family have relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida where she has spent the past few months achieving her lifelong dream of publishing her very first novel; as well as continuing to submerge herself in some of her favorite books while appreciating a glass of wine and her favorite, salted pretzel Milanos.
They say a man, can see death. Feel death even. When the shrapnel came flying towards me, it was slow motion. I saw it all. Every little silver piece as it reflected on teh sun and looked like glitter confetti. Deadly glitter confetti.
Every second of my life flashed before my eyes as I felt the pieces slice through me. My body feeling like it was on fire as the pain radiated through me. My beautiful girl that I would never see again, the one I never was able to tell exactly how much she meant to me.
As the corpsman ran up beside me and evaluated my injuries, the grim look on his face said it all. Told me my wife would get a knock at the door from men in the navy dress uniform. That she’d have to sit at Arlington and be terrified as twenty-one shots were fired. The eerie and somber sound of Taps being played from the bugle would pierce her ears and burn into her memory.
“Lieutenant!” The corpsman yelled as my eyes fought to close. My body begging me to surrender to the pain. My last act on this earth was to reach into my pocket and pull out a letter, to ensure somebody saw it and made sure she got it.
“Just hang on,” he said as his hand grasped the blood stained paper.

After getting Rose to the barn, I stormed off, needing to get away and think it all through; obviously, I wasn’t separating from her. I hiked up to the clearing in the woods and twirled the jewelry box that held a diamond ring in my hand, thinking how much better it would be with a few paychecks under my belt. She wouldn’t leave once I proposed and she saw how good this job was, although, I knew Rose could hold a grudge like no other, but she wouldn’t be able to ignore how good this was all for our family.
I looked to my phone and realized an hour had passed by, but she hadn’t called me. No reception — go figure. I walked toward the road again, and my phone beeped with a text from Rose, oh yeah she’s still pissed, I decided to call a friend from paramedic school to come get me to grab a few beers and has it out. My phone rang relentlessly from Leslie, Grant, and Jordan. I assumed that they were calling to lecture me about smothering her dreams. When it rang again I pushed the power button to shut my phone off and silence the annoyance.
….Seriously? Leave it to him to swoop in and be the hero of the day, Mr. Amazing. I’m sure he was filling her ear with how this was exactly what he’d meant, and that he still loved her. With a smug grin, I answered the phone and told him off, hanging up before he could get a word out. I was intoxicated for sure. I decided it wasn’t the best time to call rose to press my point about being a grown mature person in my current condition, so I headed to my apartment to sleep it off.
….I knocked on the door, figuring her mom would be safe and would understand, since she’d given me a very stern lecture about supporting my family and getting my priorities in check…
Mrs. Barnes’s answered the door, shaking and crying.
“What? What’s wrong?” I asked in a panic, knowing it was Rose.
She just kept blubbering and wouldn’t answer me, so I reached out and grabbed her arms.
I gave her a shake and yelled, “What. Is. Wrong.!?”
Her eyes cleared out from a haze, and she finally answered me…..
