Dear reader:
Congratulations on purchasing the Awkward Sex Anthology! A bunch of amazing authors in a group called FTN (We could tell you what this means, but then we’d have to kill you) got together to write the most awkward sex scenes you could imagine, all for charity. You might be thinking to yourself, “I can’t believe I just bought a book called F*cking Awkward” and I’m here to tell you, it’s much better than the titles that were rejected:
F*cking Toasters
F*cking Goats
F*cking a Box of Captain Crunch
F*cking a T-Rex While Playing the Trumpet
F*cking My Best Friend’s Neighbor’s Stepsister’s Starbucks Manager While Wearing a Toga
F*cking a Toga
I’m just kidding! Nobody wrote a story about f*cking a goat! It was a wombat, actually, and no one pressed charges, so it’s fine. The author is fine, the wombat is fine, EVERYONE IS FINE AND I DIDN’T NEED THERAPY SO STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT.
Did you know that six out of every seven people in the entire world have experienced an awkward sexual encounter? It’s true. I’ve done extensive research. And by extensive, I mean I did a poll of all the adults in my house – 2 dogs, 3 cats, and my husband and I. I’m pretty sure my dog Fat Ralph was lying when he told me he’d never experienced anything awkward during sex, but he had his nuts cut off when he was six weeks old and is still quite bitter about the whole thing and threatens me with a dog bone shank whenever we chat about sex, so I think it’s 4 best if I stop questioning him about the time I found him in the backyard with a jar of peanut butter, two frogs and the neighbor’s cat wearing pasties.
The cat was the one wearing pasties, FYI, not Fat Ralph. That would just be weird.
So, grab some booze, sit back, and enjoy these hilariously awkward sex scenes. Give yourself a pat on the back for purchasing a book for charity and another one for never experiencing something as crazy as what you’re about to read. Unless you have. In that case, it’s okay to cry and rock back and forth in the corner screaming, “IT WAS ONLY THAT ONE TIME AND I HAD NO IDEA I WASN’T SUPPOSED TO PUT THAT CUCUMBER THERE!” Six out of seven of us totally understand. Except for Fat Ralph. He’s totally judging you right now.

REVIEW

Jennifer’s Review

I made a serious mistake. I tried reading Letting Go without tissues handy. Why did I do this? No clue – after sobbing my way through Stay and Away by BA Wolfe, I knew what to expect. Well, sort of. I knew that hearing Jase tell us his story would be incredible – and it was. I knew that reading the poetic beautiful that I’ve come to know from BA Wolfe would rip my heart to shreds.

“When life rains, it usually pours, but it’s up to you to push the clouds away and bring back the sun.” – Jase

“Her lips would save me. I knew they would, because she was already bringing me back from death I didn’t know is been in.” – Jase

“True love is when another person’s happiness is greater than your own.”

I could list about a hundred beautiful quotes – Jase is a man who is just a sweet, kind and gentle soul. He knows what it’s like to suffer through the harsh reality of heartbreak for many reasons and he chooses to look beyond the ugly, the darkness. He chooses to live a life in the moment and recognize what he’s been given.

As I finished reading Letting Go with those ugly tears streaming down my face faster than I could catch and yes – the nasty snot filled crying had commenced – I immediately picked up Away and Stay. I couldn’t wait to re-read everything from the beginning. Because Letting Go wasn’t just a recap of Stay. It was a new outlook and perspective.

If you are looking for a book that will break your heart and put it back together, make you believe in true love, in beautiful souls, pick up Letting Go and if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading Stay and Away by BA Wolfe, one click now. You won’t regret it. Letting Go is so much more than an ugly cry – it’s heartbreaking, emotional, yeah – but it also made me think and remember the power of enjoying every moment we have been given. I couldn’t put it down.

EXCERPT

She moaned loudly, her hands splaying across my shoulders. “You make me so happy. I hope you know that. Thank you for giving yourself to me.”

“Thank you for letting me, for wanting me.” No one had ever wanted me like she did.

She held my cheeks and searched my face. “I’ll never not want you, Jase. That’s impossible.”

I knew exactly how she felt.

Without another word, she sat up and playfully pushed my chest, wanting me back on the pillow. So I went with it and fell back as she climbed over me, a leg on either side.

“So . . .” Her fingers coiled around the hem of my shirt, my heart thumping rapidly. “Do you remember when you said that I was yours?”

I grinned. “I remember.”

A sexy smirk splashed across her face. “I might be yours, but do you know what else that means?”

I folded an arm behind my head, while my other hand caressed her bare leg. “No, sweetheart. What does it mean?”

Her body inched lower until our chests were touching and our heartbeats matched.

Placing her mouth directly over mine, she whispered, “Mine, Jase. You’re all mine, cowboy.”

I palmed the back of her head and growled, crashing my lips to hers, taking every ounce of Cassie I could. I was hers and she was mine and there was nothing that would ever change that. Even if tragedy ever struck down the road, I’d always still be a chapter in her life. One she’d never forget. No one could ever take that away from either of us.

Excerpt

I knew something good was coming and I couldn’t tear my gaze away. With his fingers wrapped around the football, Dan glanced up at me in the stands and nodded quickly, the biggest grin on his face. He didn’t seem to care that he had about three guys ready to tackle him. The pressure never fazed Dan, because this was his element. The Friday night lights, the roaring crowds, the pigskin in his hands, commanding the field. The dude was a star and I was proud to be his brother. I nodded back and he finally threw the football. It spiraled perfectly through the air, landing straight into Johnson’s tight grip, where he ran the short distance and . . .

“Touchdown!” I jumped from the bench and threw my hands in the air, screaming. Except, my cheering was short-lived. I palmed my back and frowned as a sharp pain stabbed me. I glanced over my shoulder, eyeing the crowd behind me. Did someone throw something? No. They were all too engrossed in the game.

Running a hand over my back that ached with a dull pain, I drew my attention back to the field. Maybe I had been sitting too long?

I prepared to ease past Anna and her sister when she touched my arm. “Where you going?”

I stopped in front of her and smiled. My girlfriend was beautiful and that was an understatement. We’d finally made our relationship official two months ago. We were young, but I’d known her since preschool, basically forever. And I was the lucky guy that got to hold her hand.

“Just going to stretch,” I told her.

“You’re gonna miss the last thirty seconds of the game though.” She cocked her head.

It was safe to say the whole town lived for high school football, and it was no lie that my brother, Dan, was the best quarterback since I didn’t know when.

I glanced over my shoulder at the scoreboard. We were ahead by seven points. I smirked, ready to tell her I wasn’t worried about it, when another weird pain ricocheted around from my back to my side. I flinched. What in the heck?

“You okay?” she asked, steadying her hand on my arm.

I laughed, trying to play it cool, but I honestly wasn’t sure what the hell was up. “I’m good. I’ve been sitting too long I think. I’ll be back.” I didn’t waste another second, slipping past the girls and rushing to the front of the stadium.

I palmed my side and stretched out a little, only to find that made it worse. Putting my hand out, I braced myself against the ticket booth that had already closed. I sucked in a few deep breaths but the ache in my back grew tighter with each inhale. “What the heck?” I yelled, but it was masked by whoops and hollers from the stands.

We won.

A grin tipped my lips even though I was trying not to scowl in pain. I was probably more proud of him than my parents and I had missed the end. This was the sixth game of the season and I had missed the end of the last one because Anna needed a soda. I stood in line as James made the winning touchdown, beating our arch rivals forty-seven to forty.

It seemed like a new trend . . . always missing out on the best part, the end.
