    Excerpt

“Are you ready?” I ask, placing my palm on her sweaty stomach. She’s so petite that my hand spans her entire stomach. It rises and falls with each deep breath she takes. This power I feel right now is utter heaven. She’s mine in every way possible, and no one can deny it. Fury of possession and lust hit me. I don’t want to hold back any longer.

Kayla nods. Gritting my teeth, I unfasten her gag and pull it away with a long strand of spit connecting it to her mouth. Her lips part and close a few times as she adjusts to the new sensation.

Lips. They’re such innocuous things in real life. They speak, and laugh. They kiss babies, and are responsible for filtering or not filtering every word you ever speak. In my world, this world, they’re the most erotic, beautiful, stunning part of a person. Lips praise. They suck and kiss and worship my body. Kayla’s lips worship me. I am obsessed with lips, but especially hers right now because I know that this isn’t her life, nor is it something she would pick for herself, yet her lips are asking me for more. Words passing her lips about how good I feel, how wet she is, thanking me for filling her with a vibrating dildo. It’s uncomplicated in here. She obeys. She wants more.

Removing the gag does give me pause, because she could potentially say something un-sub like and ruin the scene, but at this point I wouldn’t even care, I’ll still fuck her. My cock is heavy and dripping with pre-come. I glance at the large, digital clock to my right to make sure my timing is on par and catch sight of the crew.

  • Title: Evil
    Author: Tijan
    Genre: Paranormal Romance
    Release Date: May 13, 2016

You know that group of people in school that everyone fears? Popular. Beautiful. The in-crowd?

That was my family. Kind of.

We were above that group. We held court over everyone else. We were the best looking. We were the mysterious and elusive ones. Most of the girls wanted to (and did) date the guys, but they didn’t want to be one of us. They couldn’t be. They were our prey.

    We were the feared.

But like every family, nothing is as it seems. That was my truth.

Kellan was in his own league. He was our leader and he was the one no one messed with. No one dared. He was ruthless, powerful, and no one could match him…

    Except for me.

I was about to find out just how different I was from my family.

    **Evil is a full-length paranormal romance stand-alone.

    Buy today for $0.99!
As I drove through the backstreets of Poehler and headed out of town, I saw Leah and a few others leaving one of the pizza places, like a normal teenager enjoying time with her friends.
I’d never been a part of that world. None of the Bradens had. And for some reason, it never bothered us. We were meant for different things. Still…a part of me wished things could’ve been different. That I could’ve grown up as a normal girl with a normal family and even a normal boyfriend.
When I slowed and turned onto the gravel road that led to my home, I knew it was useless to wish that.
I wasn’t normal. No one in my family was, but it would’ve been nice to know what normal felt like.
We lived in a three-story brick house. And as I parked to the left of the garage, I cursed when I saw that every single light was off. That didn’t mean everyone was asleep, not in my family. It meant that they were outside, probably down by the river.
It was a little reprieve for me.
I let myself in to the empty house, kept the lights off, toed off my sandals, and moved into the kitchen. The bare tile felt cool underneath my feet. As I opened the fridge, I pulled out a container of orange juice and then screamed.
Kellan stood right behind me, a foreboding expression on his face.
“Oh God.” I laughed, weakly, as I set down the orange juice. “You gave me a heart attack just now.”
Kellan cocked his head to the side, his eyes on mine.
When I shut the door, the fridge’s light was replaced by the moonlight. It fell over his face and gave him a shadowed, mysterious look. Anyone else would’ve shuddered in scared anticipation. I just shuddered because it was cold.
“What?” I asked. Kellan had something to say, I could tell. I didn’t have the patience to play his games.
“Where were you?” he asked, his voice low and gruff, almost raw.
“I had things to do. What are you talking about? I told you that.” I wanted him to leave it alone. I didn’t want to tell him about the painting, not after so many years of secrecy.
“No, you didn’t tell me anything. And I knew you didn’t want me to ask, just like you never want me to ask.” Kellan moved forward and leaned against the fridge. I knew he didn’t intend it, but his stance seemed predatory.
“I saw Leah leaving the pizza place tonight. You sure you want to miss out on that?” I asked nervously. I downed the rest of the orange juice, and when I turned toward the sink, Kellan grabbed my arm and hauled me back.
“What?” I asked. Kellan had never been intentionally rough with me. I’d never seen it, but I knew he had it in him. In fact, something told me that he had a lot in him that I wouldn’t want to know.
His fingers tightened on my arm. “What were you doing tonight?”
I looked at his hand, almost distantly, though I felt the pain intimately. “Don’t ask me that.”
“Why? Are you going to tell me the truth?”
I looked up and met his gaze. His eyes were a piercing blue, so beautiful to look at, but I swallowed and steadied myself. “I would lie. And I don’t want to lie to you.”

    Hello~ (waves)

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

    Excerpt

“I know what the fuck is running through your mind, Dilan. Let it fucking go. You can blame yourself all you want, but this is the last time I’ll tell you that no one blames you for this. We’re all a little shocked. Stunned to the very fucking core over this shit. One thing you need to know, to hear from me, is this. I can honestly stand here and tell you that if I were you, I would be doing the same thing. Nothing would have stopped me, and I know with every goddamn bone in my body that you wouldn’t blame me for a damn bit of it. Pull your head out of your ass. Man the fuck up. I want every one of those women back.” I close my eyes and clip the bridge of my nose, exhaling as I do.

“Don’t stand there pitying yourself or any one of us, Dilan. We will get through this.” My uncle stands directly in front of me. His words are mixing with the ones Roan just spoke, stabbing me with a dull knife into my already wounded heart.

“One thing I hate is repeating myself. But it seems with you I have to. You’ve always carried this fucked-up world on your shoulders. Just like your cousin, you’re a fixer. Determined to do shit on your own in order to protect those you love. Well, goddamn it, sometimes in life we need to ask for help. Even though you didn’t, you sure as fuck are getting it. There are things in life that drive us to do things we do not want to do. I know first-hand how these things or people that drive a knife so deep into your gut, twisting the shit out of it until you’re damn near bleed dry, can possess your every thought. It damn near killed me to know Royal had a part in putting you away. Why he turned on all of us is irrelevant. He did. He broke the rules and so did the Carlos family. The situation with Royal has lead up to all of this. My guess is he was jealous of you, like he was of his own brother. He had his filthy hands mingling with Juan’s, to attack me where he knew it would hurt me the most. My family.” He pauses briefly then continues on, his words pulling me from my gloom of guilt.

    REVIEW

    Jill’s Review

Kathy Coopmans The Deliverance of Dilan is another action filled book in The Syndicate Series.

Dilan is on a mission of revenge. He was imprisoned. Wrongfully. Set-up for a crime he didn’t commit. Set-up by the Mexican Cartel and his cousin. It doesn’t get dirtier than that. Beaten and abused in prison, when he finally gets out the only thing on his mind is revenge. That is until he meets the beautiful, innocent Anna. He can’t get her off of his mind, but wanting to protect her and focus on his mission he walks away from her without a word for six months. But now he is back. But The Mexican Cartel are blocking their happily ever after.

I loved the interactions between the characters. The absolute devotion and loyalty the family members have to each other whether new or old. The strength of the characters to stand by each other no matter what they were facing. The beauty of the love between them. And let’s be honest – the chemistry between Dilan and Anna is HOOOOOOOOT! It doesn’t matter how utterly innocent that girl is… her mind is not! And she is more than ready and willing for Dilan’s sexy bod!

While this book is a standalone, I feel that you will get more out of it if you read the book right before if, The Absolution of Aidan. It is where Anna was introduced and will flesh out this book.

If you are a mafia fan you will absolutely appreciate this series!

I received a complimentary copy of The Deliverance of Dilan in exchange for my honest review.

From the New York Times bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

Money or love? Which would you choose?

You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it’s an easy decision.

For me, it’s not. Did I mention it’s a lot of money? A hell of a lot.

I needed to go far away to think it through.

As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation.

    Then, he left.

I thought I’d never see him again.

    But fate had other plans.

Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight.

The bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed.

Carter was dangerous and always on the move.

Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary.

He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places.

A bevvy of flight attendant exes and rumors about Carter’s reputation were never far behind.

I didn’t know what to believe.

But I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot.

At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

    sexiest couple alive teaser 2

    Excerpt

Love can heal and love can make you soar, but Nate’s expression said my love had broken him. The thought of Nate not knowing how much I wanted him back shattered me. As his eyes filled with utter confusion, he waited for me to continue.

“Then why didn’t you ask me?” Nate scowled. “What changed your mind? Or should I say who changed your mind?” He didn’t wait for me to answer. Instead, he gripped his hair with his fists and walked away.

“It isn’t what you think.” I searched for the best words to explain.

I might have screwed up finding the right words. It was hard to concentrate with him standing there shirtless, water dripping slowly down his chest from his wet hair. God, he looked sexy as hell. He had no idea what he was doing to me. I wanted to lick every single drop. In my mind, my hands traveled all over his toned chest, wiping away the water like I was his towel.

Nate glared at me, unbelieving, as if he expected me to lie. Then he rushed to me and punched the wall with an expression of rage I’d never seen. His body so close to mine, almost touching, caused my focus to slip away.

“Don’t fuck with me, Olie,” he gritted through his teeth. “It isn’t what I think? I wasn’t given the chance to think.” He pointed to himself. “There wasn’t much to think when I saw Troy practically on top of you.”

I had known that moment would cause me problems. Nate’s expression eased when I began to tremble. His anger and how he’d reacted seemed to surprise him, too. I found my composure again and continued before he had another episode that was so out of character. There was no going back.

“I couldn’t tell you because of Troy. Not because I wanted to be with him, but because I was scared of him.”

“What?” His eyebrows pinched at the center, and his pitch rose again. “What do you mean you were afraid of him? Did he threaten you? Did he hurt you?”

When I nodded through unrelenting tears, Nate guided me to the bed with his hand on my back. I wiped my cheeks and sat next to him. His proximity drove me insane, especially when my hand accidentally grazed his chest.

“Tell me everything.” he said softly, but it was more of a demand. I could tell his anger had turned toward Troy and away from me.

    Chapter Reveal t2

    Exclusive Excerpt:

Minutes passed, but he didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to. I felt the disappointment, and disgust running through his veins.

“Are you going to kill me, Alex?” I said with a charming grin.

    “You’re a witch. A freaking witch.”

Jesse took a step toward his furious brother. “She’s your girlfriend, dude.”

“I’m not his girlfriend,” I said.“She’s not my girlfriend,” he agreed.Jesse gave me the shut-the-fuck-up-I’m-trying-to-

save-your-dumb-ass look and rested a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “Put that gun down, Alex. I know you don’t want to kill her.”

The air grew cold. “She’s a witch, Jesse. A goddamn witch.” His aura revealed a tornado of emotions. Muddy red, dark brownish-yellow, and charcoal swirled around him.

I got it; he was angry, stressed, and unforgiving. He felt betrayed. But what about me? He never told me he was a hunter. Never mentioned his job was to kill my kind. Granted, I had sensed it the second I laid eyes on him, but that didn’t change the fact he, too, was a liar.

“You wanna shoot me?” I barked. “Then do it.”

Alex’s eyes widened. “You think I won’t?” He sounded shocked.

“Shut up, Amanda!” Jesse hissed through gritted teeth before moving between Alex and me. “You banged her, and now you want to whack her, dude? You can’t be serious!”

I thoroughly enjoyed the Alex Horror Picture Show, but it was time to get this over with. “You guys don’t get it, do ya? I don’t care if he shoots me or not. We all have to die one day, and it could be worse than taking a bullet from a hunter.”

Alex’s finger rested on the trigger.

Jesse desperately tried to talk some sense into him. “Don’t do it, man. You’ll regret this.”

    “She killed a man, Jesse.”

Whoa! What? “Are you insane? I ain’t killed nobody.”

Alex’s laughter echoed through the old house. “Right. Let me guess. A gremlin carved the sigil into the guy’s chest after he slaughtered him like a pig.”

My ankh tattoo burned like hell as I tried to make sense of his accusation. “Are you delusional or something?” My gaze darted to Jesse. “Seriously, what the hell is he talking about?”

The gun still pointed at me, he grabbed a few pictures from the table and threw them at me. “Recognize him?”

Shit, Mister Sinister? Damn, I had seen crime scene photos before, but this was a scene straight out of a Wes Craven horror flick. The pictures looked like a canvas of crimson red. Mister Sinister was positioned on a bed, his body twisted in an unnatural way. Eyes wide open, his expression reflected pure horror, and carved into his chest was a sigil I had never seen before.

I faced Jesse because there was no point talking to Alex right now. “Listen, I am a witch, a liar, and most of the time, a stab-worthy bitch, but I’ve never killed anyone in my entire life.” I paused for a moment to study Jesse’s expression, and when I realized he believed me, I continued. “Jesus, I’m a vegetarian.”

Slowly, Jesse reached for Alex’s gun. “I believe her.”

Alex raised a brow at his brother. “Because you want to believe her.”

    “And you don’t?”

“I want the truth, Jess. If she killed him, I’ll kill her. End of story.”

His attitude started to piss me off. “The guy was a first-class jerk, but I did not end his life. Understood?”

I knew nothing would change Alex’s opinion about me, but Jesse believed me. I saw it in his eyes. “Let her go, Alex.”

Alex’s finger moved away from the trigger, then back to it. Away, then back. His dark blue aura turned red, then gray, and eventually back to blue. As if he mentally counted daisies; I’ll kill her, I’ll kill her not.

The last book in Carrie Ann Ryan’s bestselling Dante’s Circle series is here – PROWLED DARKNESS is available now! Be sure to get your hands on Eliana and Malik’s incredible story now.

    prowleddarknessAbout PROWLED DARKNESS

Humans aren’t as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?

Eliana Sawyer’s life was rocked from its foundation twice in as many years. She risked her heart and had it shattered into a thousand pieces when Malik left her with no warning. While she’d normally raise her chin and ignore the pain, she can’t forget what he gave her before he disappeared from her life.

Malik Ward is a prince amongst the lion shifters and knows that one day he will have to take a mate. Only, his people can never mate with humans. Under the mistaken impression that Eliana was only human, he forced himself to leave before they’d crossed a line and he broke his vow to his people. Now that he knows the truth about Eliana, however, it will take more than groveling to win back the one woman fated to be his.

While Eliana and Malik embark on a new sensuous path that might lead to disaster, the realms aren’t ready to allow the final lightning-struck human to be enveloped into their fold. The couple will have to combat those plotting against them, as well as the broken promises and heated emotions they share.

Warning: Contains a Leo with a bite that’s worse than his roar, a woman with one last chance at the life she’s always dreamt of, a flame that could extinguish with the wrong sacrifice, and the final journey in the bestselling Dante’s Circle series.

Get a Quick Peek at PROWLED DARKNESS:

“I need to speak with Malik. Alone.”

She made a move to stand up, and he took a step toward her, needing to help, but stopped as a tall and slender man made it to her first. The other man glared over his shoulder at Malik as he put his hands on Eliana’s arms.

    “Thank you, Seth,” Eliana whispered.

Seth. This was Tristan’s mate, or at least one of them. That meant Malik didn’t have to rip the man’s arms off for daring to touch Eliana. He tried to keep his temper in check, fisting his hands at his sides and breathing through his nose. He had no right to feel this way, no right to fuck everything up once more. But it seemed the predator in him was ready to claim the woman in front of him. Hell, he’d been ready when he’d thought Eliana was human.

As lions couldn’t mate with humans, he’d walked away.

Hopefully, Eliana would listen to him, would forgive him.

But he wouldn’t grovel. He would one day be Leo and a Leo didn’t beg.

No matter what might be needed.

    Gone From Me Excerpt:

Tall grass, dried from the blazing summer days, crunched under their duty shoes. Heat hung over the dirt road, and not even the pools of shade cast by tall water oaks offered relief. The red clay, already rutted and dusty after the recent rains, baked under the early-afternoon sun, and a black snake sunned himself beside the ditch.

Zeke’s forlorn truck sat next to the turnoff to the sprawling fields. On one side of the dirt track, green corn stalks, tassels golden and silky, reached toward the blue cloudless sky. On the other, neat rows of peppers and squash, heavy with ripe produce, ran up to the far woods. Cicadas buzzed in a quivering rise and fall of distant sound. The police radio beeped and squawked, a garbled transmission between Chris and dispatch, a license-plate check. Around the abandoned Ford, a bubble of silence pulsed. The window was down, a cell phone and wallet on the dash. The keys, on a John Deere fob, dangled from the ignition. Empty fertilizer jugs littered the bed. A tidy stack of bushel baskets waited next to the vehicle.

Around the truck, the grass was beaten down, trodden low by farm vehicles, tractors and booted feet. Rob leaned down to better see inside the truck, but didn’t touch anything. “When was the last time you heard from him?”

“Yesterday at lunch.” Worry roughened Dale Jenkins’s voice. “His mama tried to call him last night and there was no answer, but that’s not real unusual. She called Britt this morning when he still didn’t answer, and he never came home last night.”

“Why didn’t Brittany call us?” Rob straightened and pulled out his notebook to begin jotting.

“She said it’s not unusual for him not to come home some nights.”

Really. That was new. Rob scratched down a note, but kept his face impassive. “Have you talked to any of his friends today? Other relatives he’s in contact with?”

“His grandma hasn’t heard from him. My wife’s been calling his friends, and none of them have seen or heard from him.”

Rob cast a look at the cell phone on the dash. “Did you touch anything in the truck?”

“No. When I got here and saw his stuff like that, I walked the field and through the woods down to the stream, just seeing if I could find him.” Dale wiped a hand across his tense jaw. “I been friends with Tick Calvert a long time, and my wife likes that Dateline show. I knew better than to touch anything when I didn’t find him.”

“Okay.” Rob stared at the truck, then down the turnoff and into the woods. Turning, he nodded at Troy Lee. “Will you get Parker out here with the dog? And bring me the evidence kit from the trunk.”

With his phone, he snapped a series of photos of the scene and the truck’s interior.

“Chris is on his way.” Troy Lee stopped beside him and set down the multiple-compartment box that housed the evidence kit. Rob removed two pair of latex gloves and snapped them on, one pair over the other. Rather than open the door, he reached through the open window and retrieved the cell phone. The home screen glowed to life to reveal myriad missed calls from his parents and Mike Smithwick, plus various texts from Brittany and a couple of friends. Rob swiped his thumb across the screen and the keyboard popped up for a passcode entry.

He glanced sideways at Jenkins. “Do you know his passcode?”

“Four-one-two-zero.” Jenkins cleared his throat. “It’s part of Emma’s birthday.”

Rob navigated to check for the last outgoing texts and calls, both of which dated to late the previous morning. A phone call to his mother around eleven, then a text to Brittany at twelve.

Rob placed the phone in an evidence bag, labeled and sealed it. He squinted across the field, quiet and deserted under the midday sun. “Mr. Jenkins, other than the situation with Brittany this week, has Zeke had other difficulties you know of? Has he been in any trouble or talked to you about any problems he’s had lately?”

“No.” Jenkins pushed up the bill of his battered cap with one finger and scrubbed a hand over his forehead. “He’s always been a real good boy. We weren’t happy about Britt being pregnant with them so young and not married and all, but since they got married, he works hard to take care of her and Emma.”

The grass surrounding the produce field showed no evidence of recent foot traffic. Maybe he’d never even made it into the field. “You said you talked to his friends. Is it possible he’s with one of them?”

“No.” Jenkins shook his head. “He might ignore Britt and he might ignore me, but that boy would never ignore his mama.”

    Oliver Thorn’s POV

“Control. And how I feel when you exert your strength over me. Domination. Power. Control. All of it turns me the fuck on.”
    “Why?”
“There’s something primal and exhilarating about a man who takes complete control in the bedroom. That’s what it’s about for me. I want to feel desire. Real desire. I need a man who will grab me and make me feel small and vulnerable and feminine. Without hurting me.”
She releases my hands and sits upright, still mounted on top of me. “Outside of the bedroom, it’s all a level playing field. I’m an independent woman, and I control everything in my life. But in the bedroom . . . I want to be controlled by a strong man.”
    “And choked.”
“I need an alpha male. I crave the dominance and show of strength he has over me.” She reaches for my hands and intertwines our fingers. “You’re the first man I’ve trusted in years. I couldn’t have let anyone else put their hands on me that way. It had to be you.” She releases my hands and leans over me, propping on her lower arms, but her hands grasp my face. She presses a soft, closemouthed kiss on my lips. “Only you, Thorn.”
She wants an alpha. A controller. A choker.
God help me, I like what I just did to her. I want to do it again. And that’s totally fucked up.
I spent my childhood being controlled, dominated, choked. What kind of person does it make me if I do those things to her? Even if it’s what she wants?
    “I can’t, Max.”
She presses her forehead to mine. “You can. You did.” I did. And it was wrong.
    So. Fucking. Wrong.
    “But not again.”
“I saw your face. You liked my submission. You liked putting your hand on me like that. You weren’t repulsed. And in those few moments when you held my life in your hands, I belonged to you. I knew it. You knew it. And you liked it.”
