I have everything a guy could want—a new single burning up the charts, more money than a simple country boy could spend, and a woman I’m planning to marry.
Until she doesn’t show up for my proposal.
The life I thought was so perfect, isn’t.
The guy who thought he had everything, doesn’t.
I’ve got my heart on lockdown, but life sends me straight into the path of a mouthy bartender who puts me in my place.
Now the only place I want to put her is under me.
I thought I was done with love, but maybe I’m just getting started.

With a title like Real Dirty who wouldn’t want to get down and dirty with Boone Thrasher and delve deep into those pages?
Poor sexy country superstar BooneThrasher has just had his heart stomped on by his fiancee. I mean really the man planned THE most elaborate proposal in the history of ever, and the B**** didn’t even have the nerve to show her face! I mean really, it looks like he dodged a bullet with that one — but try telling a bruised and battered heart that! (but then again — great country songs come from stuff like this! — just saying!) But a good man doesn’t stay down for long. And underneath that bad boy exterior, that is exactly what this swoonworthy grumpster is! And when he slinks into a bar and comes face to face with a sassy bartender named Ripley the sparks start to fly.
I loved how these two pushed each other out of their comfort zones. Neither of them just sat back and took life as it came flowing over them, but they fought back, and they fought for each other. And pushed the other to be a better version of themselves. They brought out the best in the other — and really isn’t that what we look for in a relationship. Even when that relationship wasn’t one we were looking for. Even when it comes up out of nowhere at the most inconvenient of times. We want someone who is going to compliment us and boy do Boone & Ripley compliment each other — both in and out of the sack 😉
Real Dirty is the first book in the Real Dirty Duet… and OMG do I need the next book NOW. But never fear — Real Sexy is literally just around the corner and Meghan March will answer all of our burning questions and finish Boone & Ripley’s story. I have to say that I really adore how she gives us these duets and doesn’t make us wait to get the conclusion. Seriously it is brilliant!
So do I recommend this — ummm… Hell yes! Go on and #1click now!

In Nashville, country stars are a dime a dozen.
I swore I’d never get caught up with one, but Boone Thrasher made a liar out of me.
I said I’d never put my heart on the line, but he didn’t ask before he stole it.
Now we’re facing my worst fears, and we’ll see if this country boy is tough enough to see it through.
Girls like me don’t get happily ever afters… but maybe he’ll prove that wrong too.

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I met Bianca in an elevator.
She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.
The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.
She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn’t appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn’t want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

So you know when you get a book from this writing duet, Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward you are going to be entertained, so it isn’t going to be any huge shock that Mister Moneybags was a fabulous read! It has great banter, emotion and you will SWOON for Dex!
So there are often times when I review a book that I say I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give away what is going to happen in the book. And this is one o those times. Now you may laugh this time — especially if you have read the blurb for the book. You are sitting there thinking… don’t I already know everything that is about to enfold? They laid out just about the whole story for me… Really they only asked one question, and that just must be for effect! There aren’t any real surprises waiting for me. Well HA!
This story had twists and turns I just NEVER saw coming! Some will make you squirm 😉 and think and just… well ponder what would you do??? The book is full of sweet romance, delicious banter and things that had me smiling. I kept wondering what will happen??? Not what will happen in the way you think when you are reading a Suspense novel but how will this turn out? Will they work it all out? I so wanted the HEA because I was THAT in love with them. I loved the bond they formed. The relationship they were forging and even through my smiles a piece of my heart as hurting d scared that it may not work out — I was THAT invested!
I couldn’t recommend this story more! I promise that you will swoon for Dex as hard as I did!

Seven Year Itch book 4
By Jennifer Foor
I’ve heard if you can make it through the first seven years of marriage you’ve made it past the tough part and it’s smooth sailing.
Whoever said that was an idiot.
I’ve been married for seven years, and in that time I’ve waited for my immature husband to grow up and become a responsible man.
It still hasn’t happened, and I’m at the end of my rope. I need him to be a father to our child, not someone who needs his own toys to be content.
I want a partner, not a guy more concerned about his friends than his wife.
This is my marriage, and before I throw in the towel I’ve decided to do something drastic to make it happen.
I’m Shayla Vincent and this is my story.
I have been a huge fan of Jennifer Foor’s Seven Itch series since she put out the first book in the series, Binge. So it should come as no surprise that I jumped on Because as soon as I could get my hands on it.
So let’s start with how Because is part of a series. No, you don’t need to read the series to read Because. The Seven Year Itch books can all be read alone. The common thread that they all share is that of the “seven year itch.” This series deals with real life issues. It hits on what is going on in marriages behind the closed door. It isn’t pretty. It is often ugly. But the thing I treasure most about this series – it is REAL. So let me also say this, I feel like Because is one of those books you are going to have strong emotions over. You are either going to really like it and appreciate what Jennifer is doing here, or you are going to hate it. I will be surprised to see people in between (but I could be wrong here… feel free to let me know 😉 )
Because deals with Shayla and Brandon’s marriage. They married young. Two babies having a baby. Ok, they weren’t really babies.. they were what 18? Still a baby in my book. They were high school sweethearts who loved each other but definitely got married due to a unplanned pregnancy. Is it really any surprise that now, they may be having issues? People will have some concerns with Brandon and how he speaks and treats Shayla. People may also have issues with how long it has taken Shayla to stand u for herself. But relationships are a two way street. These 2 jumped in feet first, poured all their love into their daughter and forgot to grow up TOGETHER. Brandon’s friends are all still single and partying and he wants to still have his friends and hangout once in a while. Shayla has lost confidence in herself since she gave birth and yearns for the ‘perfect marriage’ not realizing there is no such thing as perfect. So…. they grow apart. They forget how to communicate effectively. They forget what made them THEM. And instead they snipe at each other. They fight. It just hurt my heart.
But if you think real hard, I bet you know similar couples. And that is the genius of this story. I can picture one couple (keeping them vague so no one gets offended! LOL) who I know who have been together since they were early on in HS. They married, had kids and then illness hit. They were almost unprepared because the man hadn’t fully grown up. Don’t get me wrong the couple was in love, they both were great with the kids.. but the man still had that irresponsible, childlike side to him. And they didn’t communicate well. Those are a ton of the key issues here in Because. And a lot of it is because of the youth and immaturity and the pattern in the relationship from when they start so young.
We tend to only read and believe the fairytale romance stuff. Well the truth is real life is hard. Real life is ugly. And in real life you will hit some major bumps in the road. It is what you do when that happens, how you pull yourself out of it that counts. You need to read Because to see how Shayla and Brandon fare… but here is a hint – it is a HEA 😉
I received a complimentary copy of Because in exchange for my honest review.

Series: Eagle Elite
Release Date: December 18, 2014
There’s two sides to every story…
And ours? Isn’t pretty…
Then again, what’s pretty about the mafia?
Trace Rooks, that’s what.
But she only wants one of us, and I’ll kill him before I let him have her.
The only problem?
And she may just be our long lost enemy.
Whoever said college was hard, clearly didn’t attend Eagle Elite University.
Welcome to hell also known as the Mafia where blood is thicker than life, and to keep yours?
Well, keep your friends close, and your enemies?
I grabbed the girl’s arm and practically dragged her down the hall. The rest of the students followed because, hey, who doesn’t like a free show? Hell, it wasn’t like I was going to hurt the girl. I didn’t hit girls. That wasn’t my specialty. I would never hit a girl unless I had no choice, my life or hers.
“So…” I gently pushed her away. “…what’s your name?”
“B-Brit.” She wrapped her arms around her stomach.
“How old are you, Brit?”
“Major?” I sighed, shoving my hands in my pockets while it went deathly silent around me.
Her blue eyes flickered with uncertainty; she tucked a piece of red hair behind her shoulder. “Business.”
She pressed her lips together.
“Father’s name? Don’t make me ask again, Brit.”
“Ah…” I snapped my fingers. “Ben Arnold, Independent. Was elected into the House of Representatives a few years back. Loves to golf, has a dog named… Henry and a goldfish named Stu. Cheated on his wife of twenty years with a stripper and was caught embezzling money from the State of Iowa but wasn’t penalized or taken to prison. Good ol’ Ben.” I chuckled. “Loves his little girl. I mean, he really does. After all, that was his plea, “Don’t do this to my family.” I sighed. “It’s just too bad.”
“Wh-what?” Brit gasped, tears streaming down her face. “What do you mean?”
“Prison… is not for the faint of heart.” I sighed. “Do you understand what I’m saying to you?”
Brit shook her head.
I pulled out my cell and dangled it in front of her face. “One phone call from me and your father will be behind bars so fast you won’t even get to say goodbye. One phone call, Brit, and I suck every possible future from your pathetic life. You’ll be lucky to be working as a prostitute once I’m finished with you. Because let’s face it, even prostitutes need to have some class, am I right?”
People around me started whispering.
“So here’s what’s going to happen…” I cleared my throat and approached her until she could feel the heat from my body. “You talk to Trace again? I make that phone call. You talk about her, and I hear about it from one of your ugly friends? I make the phone call. Daddy goes to prison, all the family money gets taken, and, just because I love making people suffer that much, I tell the freaking world about your mother’s little… problem. Got me?”
Her lips trembled as tears cascaded down her puffy cheeks.
“Great.” I smiled and turned. “Anyone else want to tempt fate today, or are we good?”
“Awesome. Then go back to class, make good choices, don’t do drugs, and— Go Eagles!”
I sent Nixon a quick text to let him know the situation had been dealt with, though I was kind of irritated at him. He’d been the hero while I’d had to take care of the dirty work. It was what I did, but for the first time… ever, I wanted to be Nixon. I wanted to be the guy who took care of business, not the second-in-command.
Wow, whatever can I say about Rachel Van Dyken’s Enforce? It is Elite from the boys POV – but that just doesn’t do it justice. Because if that was all it was, you would think you would know everything that was going to happen and you wouldn’t be held captivated the entire book, yet that is exactly what occurs.
From the moment I heard that she was going to tackle this book I was on pins and needles. We would finally learn what was REALLY going on at Eagle Elite when this whole saga began. As the series has continued and we have gotten to know each of the players better it has made me wonder even more why they did certain things in Elite, what was going through their minds, what was the background that Trace didn’t know. Enforce answers ALL of those questions.
I appreciated all of the Mafia background that we were able to see in Enforce that we missed in Elite. Things that we learn in later books in the series that we now see for the ‘first time’ here. It was very well done.
Right from the very beginning when you read what the book is about, you see how deeply Chase and Nixon feel for Trace and how they will be pitted against each other. Of course if you have already read Elite and Elect this is no surprise! But reading it here in Enforce as their feelings developed, as they realize who Trace is and what she means to their Family, their future, their friendship, their lives – it tears at your heart.
But for me (and without giving too much away) one of the my favorite things about this book, the thing that I think helps set Rachel Van Dyken apart from other writers is her skill at making you see a character in a different light. She does that here with Phoenix. And that she was able to do that with Phoenix in THIS book was just pure genius for me and brought me to tears and gave me chills.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you are a fan of this series TBR it NOW! Go to Rachel’s Author Page every day to get the teaser’s she is posting – you won’t regret it! Soak up every single piece of this book you can get! And then grab it when it comes out and tell everyone to leave you alone!
I received a complimentary copy, in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my gosh!!!! Oh Rachel Van Dyken has done it again and this time I don’t think I could love her more.
As we all know, Enforce is the male POV of Elite, which was in Trace’s POV. I absolutely fell in love with Elite but after reading Enforce it changed my outlook entirely. Reading about what the men were going through, their opinion of each other, but also of Trace as they got to know her, and the day to day struggles each of the men went through made me fall in love with everyone all over again.
Enforce answers so many questions that I had after reading Elite, especially when it came to wondering why the men acted a certain way in specific situations. I admired Nixon and his protectiveness of Trace and giggled at Chase’s comments. Even after reading Elite and knowing exactly what was going to happen, I still found myself on the edge of my seat, holding my breath, wiping tears (lots of tears), and smiling through the entire book. I can’t honestly say how many times I caught myself laughing at something one of the boys said, smiling at the love being shown, even if it was in such a different way than is typical romance, and gasping at the danger in the situations. Enforce took me on an emotional roller coaster that took me a while to come down from.
My heart clenched at the deep seated love we get to see in this somewhat modern Romeo and Juliet. It felt so different when reading from the male POV because there was so much history of the families we missed in reading Elite. My heart has always belonged to Nixon, even through the rest of the series, I have still felt that pull that brings me back to him. He stole my heart with his dominance, fierceness and protectiveness and I fell harder and have a whole new appreciation for him after reading Enforce.
“I needed to make the cut, but that’s the thing about Trace. Cutting her out of my life? To protect her? Would be like stabbing myself in the heart. It wouldn’t be a mortal wound. It would destroy all that was still good within me, bleed me dry; it would end my existence. But for her? I’d do it a thousand times, a million times. I’d die every day… over and over again, repeating the process until she was safe.” ~Nixon << I mean, come on! Total swoon-worthy right there! He’d die for her, bleed for her, and happily do it as long as she was safe and protected.
“But she’d always mattered, my little Bella, the one who’d held my hand and caught my tears. Damn, but she’d been my sunshine in a life full of rain.” ~Nixon
Chase, dear Chase, may have just grabbed hold and yanked a piece of my heart that had been saved for Nixon and claimed it as his own. His desire to be there for Trace, not just as her protector but as so much more broke me.
“…I found myself outside her dorm room, just staring up at her window like some misplaced Romeo. She was staring out the window. I wondered what consumed her thoughts. Nixon? Her grandfather? Life at Elite? I wondered if I ever crossed her mind – or if I ever would.” ~Chase
“No more moments would pass – I wouldn’t let them. If he wanted her, he was going to have to prove he loved her more than life itself – because I already knew I did.” ~Chase
The love these boys feel, not only for Trace but for each other, is in no way calm and meek. It’s fierce, primitive and incredibly sexy. But the tenderness they (can) show Trace and the peaceful feelings that their love gives them is damn near paralyzing and overwhelming.
Whenever authors decide to “go back and write in a different POV,” it is always a risk. Do they write the same story just different words? Is that enough? Well, Rachel managed to give us a story that was unexpected, electrifying and powerful. Discovering the men’s reasoning and back ground behind their actions broke my heart and made me adore them all the more. Thank you, Rachel, for giving us more of the Eagle Elite and allowing me to give you an honest review for reading early! Once again, you’ve perfected it.

Review From Kelly
★★★★★FIVE STARS for Unbroken by RE Hunter
Earlier this year, I started reading a book called Undone by an author I had never heard of because a fellow blogger told me I HAD to. She was so adamant I would love it that she gifted it to me. I figured- what the heck, it’s a free book. But once I read the prologue, I could tell it was going to be something really special and I was hooked. I devoured the book in one sitting and wanted to cry once I realized there was a major cliffhanger and I would have to wait months for the continuation of the story. I needed it THEN! The story was so good that I couldn’t get it and the characters out of my head.
So I’ve waited (really impatiently) for Unbroken, book 2 in the series. As I’ve waited, I started wondering how RE Hunter could possibly write a book as good as the first and hoped that it would live up to the expectations I’ve had in my mind. Let’s be honest- a lot of times, the second book in a series, especially when it’s the conclusion, doesn’t live up to the hype and I hate when that happens.
But I’m so happy to say that she hit it out of the ball park with Unbroken- making me fall in love with the story and its characters all over again.
Unbroken starts with a bang, answering the question we’ve all been asking for months– how Luke, our beloved Southern Sexy, found himself in the mess he was in at the end of Undone. I may not like what happened, but it was a LOT better than all of the different scenarios my mind had created while waiting. And I was so happy that I could still respect and love Luke and cheer him on while he fought to get Embry back.
That’s all I’m going to say about the actual story because I HATE spoilers. I will say that the chemistry and passion between Luke & Embry is off the charts HOT. They’ve never lacked in that department for sure! And the way that Luke protects her and spoils her is absolutely swoon-worthy. But probably what I loved the most is how the two worked together to fight for their love, even when demons from their past tried to tear them apart. They really proved their commitment and love for each other in this book and it was so beautiful to read.
I cannot recommend this series enough. RE Hunter has a true talent and I cannot wait to see what she brings us in the future (preferably an update on our Southern Sexy *ahem*)!
Title: Undone (Disclosure Series Book #1)
Author: R.E. Hunter
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Five years ago, Embry Jacobs ran…
She ran from a past that still hasn’t let her go, but her dream of becoming a lawyer is stronger than her fear of confronting that past. Embry’s sole focus is to get through law school—with the help of her best friend, Morgan—and make something of the broken girl she became. Not thinking about falling in love, being in a relationship or even entertaining the idea of romance, Embry is moving forward one day at a time.
Luke Brody is charming and sexy, and has a past of his own. He wants nothing more than to put his demons to rest and move on with his life. But, when Embry enters the picture, is he destined to repeat those same mistakes?
Blindsided by their instant attraction, neither Luke nor Embry are prepared for the feelings they’re developing. But will it all be for nothing?
Will they let their pasts destroy them, or will they risk everything to fight for their relationship when it all comes undone?
Everything he was looking for was there, in her eyes, a thousand words passing between them as they stood across from one another. His eyes swept over her, taking her in. She was fucking beautiful, her hair falling in loose waves over her shoulders, a tight sweater and jeans that could’ve been painted on, accentuating every soft curve.
His fingers burned to touch her, but he couldn’t ignore the sad look in her jade eyes, or the guilt that washed over him. He planted his feet firmly on the floor, fighting the urge to sweep her into his arms, hold her again. And then his world crashed and burned as Jeremy’s arm shot out, hooking around her waist and pulling her into the classroom. She turned, stealing a hopeless glance over her shoulder, then she was gone.
