Hand Me The Reins is the third Manning brother’s book — and it was definitely worth the (admittedly very short) wait! I just adore these fun, flirty, quick reads that keep me thoroughly entertained. While this is the third book, I think you would have zero issues reading any of them on their own.
Thatcher is the fun-loving younger brother who owns a bar and has no intention of ever settling down with a woman. He wants nothing to do with love, even after watching his brothers fall. Astrid is the shy, beautiful baker who bought Thatcher at the auction. What follows is a story where you can’t help but root for these two to find happiness.
This fake-relationship romance hit the spot. Astrid’s family is… well… something else! And not at all in a good way! It’s no wonder she bought Thatcher to accompany her home for her sister’s wedding! And Thatch was truly the perfect man to play her fake boyfriend.
I loved watching these two fall for each other, much to both of their surprise. But one of my favorite moments was definitely when Thatcher’s five-year-old adorable niece had a talk with him about love. In the pure way only a child can bring, she showed how loving someone wasn’t hard. Their conversations melted my heart.
Hand Me The Reins was a heartwarming, sexy, quick read that left me feeling good.
