Chelle Bliss always writes hot sexy books that are easy to devour. You know the kind — the ones that have a compelling story and enough steam that you need to stop and fan yourself off. But like most authors the characters tend to be younger or when they have “lived” their life they may be in their thirties. But here in Wicked Impulse she throws all sterotypes out the window when she gives us Bear and Fran’s smoldering story! You may remember both of these characters from previous books — don’t sweat it if you have NOT read any of her books! You can most certainly pick up right here and be perfectly fine, this easily reads as a standalone.
So back to Bear and Fran… they are a delicious older couple. They were so intriguing seperately as individuals.. but together they are just irresistable. When they get together, man I thought my kindle would catch on fire! I just love that Chelle chose to show that even people with grown kids can get down, dirty and sexy! And the way they were together… they truly helped to bring out another side in each other. Fran brought out that sweet, protective side of Bear that he had shoved down and hidden for so long — that mushy heart underneath that big gruff exterior. And Bear helped to remind Fran that there was a frisky, fun loving woman hiding beneath those old track suits.
I simply devoured this book. It had heat, romance and a dash of suspense which all added up to a story that kept me glued to the ereader from start to finish.
I highly recommend this book!
