Victoria Price had her heart broken, stomped on, crushed back at the end of high school. She has vowed never to love again. What does she need it for? She has everything else, money, friends, a high profile career – no need for love! She is a strong, independent woman. In fact she makes her living teaching other women how they too can be strong bitches! Parker Maxwell is the very definition of a playboy – gorgeous, sexy, rich, successful and wants no connection with the women he beds. Until he locks eyes with Victoria and the sparks between them are out of control. Suddenly he can’t get a woman out of his head – she is all he wants. Little does he know that she is the one he let go all those years ago.
Watching them play cat and mouse with each other was so fun. You could see the conflicting emotions between moving forward and pulling back. I kept wondering when, how will Parker realize/find out the truth. How will he take it? And then when Parker bared his soul and admitted his past… my heart just broke for them. Yet, I was rooting for them to open up to each other more and overcome the crappy circumstances of their past. So many secrets are never good for a relationship! Revenge… yes! Relationship… no! And they were flirting with both! The side characters were such a trip! They really helped to round out the story! I can’t wait to see more of them!
