Blurb:

Miranda Rose absolutely lives for writing. Unfortunately, there aren’t many readers that live for her books.

At least she can distract herself from bad reviews with her favorite hobby – trolling Charlie Shivers online. That dinosaur smut peddler wouldn’t know literature if it mounted him from behind. And, for further distraction, she meets the world’s hottest guy at her favorite writing conference, and when he mounts her from behind, she forgets all about that wannabe author.

Until she realizes Mr. Hottie Pants isn’t the cover model she’d presumed. He’s her archenemy in the flesh, Charlie Shivers.

She’s mortified!

And yet she still can’t keep her pants on around him.

Joe McCoy, aka Charlie Shivers, is over the moon attending his first Romancing The World conference as a panelist, especially when he meets the smoking author at the bar. But now that he’s discovered the true identity of his one-night stand, he’s tangled in a sticky web, thicker than a spider shifter (dibs on writing that one next!)

Though, sleeping with the enemy is kind of hot.

And scandalous.

And awesome.

But then he finds himself falling hard for the too-serious novelist, and now he’s pretty sure there’s no way he’ll make it out on top.

Review:
Jill’s Review

Kayti McGee’s Topped was such a fun book to read. A fast paced novel set in the book world full of over the TOP moments that had me laughing and smiling through the book.

The book takes place during a writers conference. Our hero and heroine are both attending and very excited about this conference. They meet at the hotel bar and hit it off with a fun night there followed by a passionate night in bed. Only problem… Miranda thought Joe was a model! In truth The 2 are arch enemies in the writing world! Joe aka Charlie Shivers writes dino porn while Miranda aka Randi Rose writes Contemporary Romance. Miranda has no respect for Joe who peddles out 12 page books and hits the Amazon top 100 each time, while she is struggling to sell. This set up leads to some hilarious moments.

The banter in this book is just great! When Joe and Miranda go at it, it is smart and witty – the perfect combination. And Joe with his ‘bros’ OMG they had me laughing! The chemistry between Miranda and joe is HOOOOOOOT! But there is also a sweet story here. One of how two people can see through their overt differences to what they really have in common, one where being in each other’s lives stretches and challenges you in all areas. Then there is the underlying writer conference – where you can get a peek into what it is like to publish and all that goes along with it. A lot of it is tongue in cheek but you will get some eye-opening insights.

If you are looking for a quick read that will have you laughing out loud, make sure to click on Topped!

I received a complimentary copy of Topped in exchange for my honest review.
