Looking for a great story that is part friends to lovers and part second chance romance? Look no further than S Moose’s Rewriting the Rules.

S Moose gives us a quick read here that manages to be both sweet and sexy. *Sigh* Charlotte and Troy. In love since they were teens and she was ‘too young.’ And then throw in that extra little issue – you know the one, she is his best friends little sister! I hear ya, why should that be such a big deal right? (AHHH… you know I hate divulging too much of the story – I like you all to read and discover details like I did.) Let’s just say that the way they are all there for each other does make it a tad bit stickier than your normal BF’s sister deal. Otherwise I would have been a lil’ annoyed too. But here both Troy and Charlotte have their own reasons for being gun shy. And I get them. So they have made a decision to wait to let her brother know about their feelings. But as tends to happen that damn thing called LIFE rears its head and interferes with their plans. Well that and Charlotte’s need to please her brother.

Needless to say Charlotte and Troy don’t end up together, but contrary to what both may think neither of them has been far from the other’s mind. Now years have passed and circumstances have changed and Charlotte is back in Will (her brother) and Troy’s lives. What does this mean for Charlotte and Troy? Can they pick up where they left off? Now don’t be silly that would be too simple! What I truly appreciate about S Moose is that her characters need to work for it. Things don’t just fall into place with a snap of the fingers. They need to put in the time and effort to rebuild what has been lost. To find their way back to one another.

Book Bonus: If you are a fan of S Moose and have read her other books (and let me just say, if you haven’t – what on earth are you waiting for? I LOVE HER BOOKS!) be on the lookout for some cameo appearances from some favorite characters from other books. I may have squealed and done a little dance when I saw this. It was done COMPLETELY tastefully and subtly. But the little connections were exciting and give you a teeny tiny glimpse into some beloved characters lives right now! EEEK!
