★★★★★FIVE STARS for The Final Temptation by KC Lynn

After having the Men of Honor series by KC Lynn recommended to me by several friends and blogs, I finally read Fighting Temptation (book 1) late last year. And I immediately kicked myself for waiting so long! From Fighting Temptation, to Sweet Temptation to Resisting Temptation– each book just got better and better.

I’m so pleased to say that The Final Temptation is the perfect culmination of what has become one of my most favorite series ever.

If you’ve read the other books in the series (and I highly recommend that you do), then you know that Kayla and Cooper have always been together and have played a major role in the stories of the other Men of Honor couples’ lives. They’ve often been the glue that holds everyone together, so I was so glad to see them get THEIR happily ever after.

It was hilarious watching a young Kayla pine after Cooper and the lengths she would go to to get her man. She was a little immature and hot-tempered at times, but I had to remind myself that she was only 17 (God, how I remember that hormone-crazed age!). And ultimately, I think Cooper more than loved trying to tame her.

Cooper, aka Officer Sexy, was the ultimate All-American boy next door with the perfect amount of alpha male. He tried so hard to do the right thing, and watching him fight the connection he felt towards Kayla was just downright sexy. Their sexual chemistry was off the charts! Once these two finally came together (pun totally intended), I swear there were fireworks.

Knowing how they became the couple we’ve always loved throughout the series, made the rest of their story so much sweeter. The strength of their love was evident and KC Lynn did a beautiful job bringing the story full-circle. Ultimately we get to see the other couples enjoy their happily ever afters while Kayla & Cooper finally get theirs.

If I didn’t know that we were going to see more from these beloved characters, then I would be more than just a little sad to see this series end. I can’t wait to read Anna & Logan’s story next in the first of five books in the spin-off series, Acts of Honor.

Until then, with The Final Temptation, KC Lynn has written the perfect ending to a series that I will for sure reread and recommend time and time again.

The moment his control snapped.

We stare at each other for a long moment, the air thick with tension. His hands still grip my arms tightly when something passes between us, something powerful.

“You know what? Fuck it!” Then suddenly it happens, the one thing I have been wanting from him, for three long years. He kisses me, his mouth crashing to mine, hard, hot and demanding.

Oh god. My knees go weak and a whimper escapes me at the first sweep of his tongue. His taste—his incredible, masculine taste—floods my senses and sets my body on fire. I waste no time giving just as good as I get. My fingers weave into his hair with a grip that draws a growl from him and I match him stroke for every desperate stroke, taking what I have ached for, what I have dreamed about for so long.

Catching me off guard, Cooper picks me up by my ass and walks us a few steps. I hear a bunch of shit crash to the floor before my back suddenly meets the cold, hard surface of his kitchen table. We never break the kiss, our mouths devouring one another, our tongues dueling a beautiful battle of frustration and pure, hot lust. My lungs crave oxygen but I can’t stop, I don’t want to, I need more. I rip open his uniform shirt and the tiny buttons fly all over the place. My hands slip beneath his undershirt and roam over the smooth, hard plains of his abs.

With a groan he rips his mouth from mine, and starts trailing his lips down my throat. “You drive me fucking crazy!” he growls. “The way you torment my dick, prancing around this tight, little body of yours. Testing every measure of my control!”

And I finally snapped it. Thank the Lord!
