I did not want anyone interrupting me while I read this book! (And yes I realize how corny that sounds!) But play on words or not, I just wanted everyone to go away as I devoured this first installment of Interrupted. S. Moose wrote a completely captivating, panty-melting novella that drew me in from the very start.
Cam’s life looks picture perfect from the outside. Successful, handsome husband on her arm. She can buy whatever she wants as she donates to various charities. A woman to envy – right? But is her life all it is cracked up to be? Before she knows it, everything she thought she had is stripped away from her.
Burying herself in her new job she works ridiculous hours to try and forget what is going on in her life. Here she starts a mysterious and sexy as hell ‘relationship’ with her new boss Sharp.
I loved the dual POV, Cam & Sharp’s, as we begin to see what makes these two tick. What their strengths and vulnerabilities are. It adds a wonderful layer to the story. Watching the transformation as Cam begins to find herself again is empowering. It is easy to lose yourself in life – not just when you are in a relationship, but when you become stagnant and have to remember who you once were and you can once again become. To witness Cam embark upon this journey was a delight. We also see Sharp start to question his own rules: 1 No repeats & 2 No relationships. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
And OMG that ending! I will not say anything else but O.M.G!!! What. A. Way. To. End. A. Book.
